Herefordshire Astronomical Society - 5th June meeting

The next meeting of this new Society will be held next Thursday 5th June at 7pm at the Kindle Centre next to Asda, Hereford. The speaker will be Dr Stephen Foulkes who discovered a supernova in NGC 2415 in 2000. Steve will talk on searching for supernovae, interacing binary systems and CCD imaging. In addition information on the June skies will also be covered

Visitors are most welcome but if you would like to join this next society the annual sub is £7 (reduced rate for Juniors) to cover lectures etc.

Other events/trips have been scheduled - 8th July trip to Stonehenge and 1st August observing session on the partial solar eclipse (white light and HA telescope available)- Hereford Whitecross Squash and Tennis Club, Sollars Close, Hereford - good bar and social area not to mention squash and tennis courts!!
