My new observatory

Some of you may recall, a while back I submitted to this forum a design idea for a RoR shed observatory. Well, I took note of the suggestions and went ahead with it. And here it is. There were numerous problems along the way but I think that I have got around them all...except one. You may be able to see that the ground is not parallel to the roof, especially the righthand side. As this property is rented I can't just get the hammer and chisel out so I will have to have a word with my landlord. I have used screws throughout so in the unlikely event that I am kicked out it can be dismantled easily (although putting it back together again might no be so easy).

Anyway, a few finishing touches and I will be up and running.

Looks a very handy piece of work! Like the undercarriage system for the roof support posts. Looks nice and compact when retracted!

Yep, that's a great variation on the usual design Steve, and it looks the dog thingies.

As Dave said, a new era opens up in your astronomy enjoyment.

The wheels rock!!! It really does make such a differnce to have a permanent (as permanent as a rented house can be) setup!!!
