2016 first light with DSO-1

After over 3 months of continuous cloud - during which time the main scope was demounted, drives re-greased and then remounted on a new pier, I finally had a clear night the coincided with some free time.

I was supposed to be polar aligning the scope, but realised some of the tools I needed were indoors, so just a quick align of the scope and put the DSO in .

Here's the first image - a stack of 16 images each @ x8/Intmul5. (intmul=5 is internal 5 frame stacking within the camera so each actual exposure is 1/50th x8 x 5 = 0.8s)

No darks, no flats etc - so there is some banding visible and yes - the focus is a bit off and the DEC drive isn't up to scratch -  scope is horribly unbalanced)  so there is some star elongation - but hopefully this should encourage new DSO users.
