Budget is $1000 USD... Help selecting equipment.

Recommended Posts

I can't get this imaging bug to go away.

I already have a good camera, intervalometer, and basic camera equipment.

What can I get scope wise? Tracking mount wise?

I'm interested in getting the most quality and bang for my buck.

Is it possible on this budget or should I invest it into my visual observing scopes and equipment?

Aren't there tracking mounts for cameras only?? How do these work?

Anybody have examples?

Thanks for any help!

Yes there are tracking mounts just for cameras (and small refractors) in the European market you could look at the Skywatcher Star Adventurer but I don't know if it is available is the US.

Check my sig, that new ED80 scope with the used tripod/mount (which is basically an HEQ5 goto equivalent) was approx $1000 (£700)
