Hi everyone.

I thought I would take this oppurtunity to introduce myself and wish you all a happy new year! My name is Alan and I am located in Glasgow, UK. I am a complete astronomy novice but was given my first scope (Celestron Astromaster 130EQ) at xmas as I had shown an interest beforehand. As I said I am a complete newbie so hope that you will be able to offer advice and supports when I ask those silly questions lol. I really cant wait to get into this whole thing and I look forward to speaking to you all soon.

Hi from Edinburgh Alan. Hope you are getting along well with the new scope. Remember to check out a local astronomy society or group whom you might be able to join in the field. I was lucky enough to find Central Scotland Observers Forum and they have helped me a lot over the last year as well as having me out in the wilds of West Lothian to join them for observing sessions.
