Auto guider cam

Hi guys,

I just got my AVX mount with skywatcher 130pds, now I need a guide cam and scope, any suggestions? I dont have a laptop, is there any way I could use my iPad or iPhone for guiding? or is there any solution that doesnt require a laptop? I know about Nexguider but it has bad reviews?

Hi there.

You can look up the MGEN 2 Superguider from Lacerta. Subpixelguiding, sensitive guidecam, standalone, canon EOS support, dithering, works perfectly with a normal 8x50 finderscope

There's also the Baader LVI Smartguider - I've just returned mine, the thread below gives more info.

General consensus is that a laptop is the way forward.
