cfpendock
Just the pelican in Ha. Not particularly interesting, I’m afraid, but interesting to process. 18 x 20 minutes, Tak and Atik. Much better image here: http://www.astrobin.com/full/233331/0/ Any critical comments would be very welcome - it’s how I learn!Chris
laudropb
Very nice image. You have caught lots of detail and it's well processed.

libraryman
I see as interesting, as I see most targets, I guess we make these comments because we think they are imaged to death but its a cracking image.Ray
cfpendock
Thank you very much Laudrobp, MarsG76 and libraryman. I was inspired to have a go thanks to Uranium235's narrowband version (http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/254241-pelican-unbinned-130pds/?hl=pelican ), posted here in early October. However, I was slightly disappointed by my own attempt. Maybe it's the lack of colour using just Ha, or more likely, the superb processing of Uranium235.... Martin-Devon
Chris I think you're being a tad hard on yourself, your image is really good, the framing & processing are top notch and the results speak for themselves. One little tweak you may want to try is a small star reduction step (Annie's actions or similar) to see if it adds anything. This target looks glorious in colour though, so if ever the clouds go away, see if you can grab some OIII to make a bicolour version.Martin
