Ok not the first...

Hi all,

Confession - this isn't my first but my 2nd attempt at capturing Orion's Nebula. I am pretty pleased with it so wanted to share! It's not perfected yet. TBH, not sure how perfect it will get with the scope and mount I have but it's fun trying!

This is a stack of 10 images at 20 seconds using my Nextar Evo 8 and Nikon 5200.

I want to try and grab the Andromeda galaxy next.

Very nice... The blue hue from unmodded cams gives it a nice color.

That's very good considering the limitations of the mount.

Thanks for the feedback - not sure how much better I can get it currently. I've got a reducer coming for Christmas which I believe should give me a few more seconds exposure time.

Excellent effort. You are probably aware that even with a reducer on your scope you will only capture a very small piece of the Andromeda Galaxy.

I'll be delighted if I can match that at my second attempt (haven't got around to the first one yet - blasted clouds!).

Nicely done, it looks great.
