It now leaks to the point that I have covered it in a tarpaulin. Luckily, I am still able to use it. We're moving house in the summer so the scope will be back on a tripod for a while and that will give me a chance to fibreglass it before returning it to its observatory function.

HAHA! Yes it does ? 

I find that having used wood to build it I get no condensation at all and have never had to use dew heaters - not once - I have them installed but I'm going to remove them to use on my field imaging rig ?

Do you find the same with yours?

Likewise. I have never had any condensation or dew build up. I have now taken the dew bands off. I have found some USB dew bands that i am using on my portable set up with a powerbank that works great.
