Buying stargazing binoculars for my partner and I have no idea what to go for! #help!

I've recently purchased some Hilkinson 10 x 50 Dartmouth bins from Sherwoods. On limited offer at £65 and highly recommended.

I believe they are almost the same as the Strathspey and Ostara Elinor models which are more expensive.

Some friends at SAS (Sunderland Astronomical Society) recommended these to me and they come collimated and checked before you receive them.

Hi and welcome - having made the great age of 60, 10x50s are an option but my old stalwart 7x50s with exit pupil of 7mm are probably pointless -any power above 10 needs a tripod unless you go for image stabilisers -seems a lot of people are opting for 10x50 or 8x40- best wishes Tony.
