Hi Stellarflare and welcome to SGL, that really is some fine transportable set up.  " I hope to learn from you Astro Photography " our first recommendation would be to avail yourself of a copy of Steve Richards book "Making Every Photon Count"

used by our imagers from the most experienced to those just starting out, as it is not obtainable through normal book sellers, a copy can be sent direct from here....http://www.skyatnightimages.co.uk  enjoy the forum :)

From changing the wood floor to plastic resin planking on the trailer. Upgrading the mount from a sixties era Cave Astrola drive to a ninties era, Astro Physics 1200 encoder mount. I still retained the pier, fiberglass tube and the Astrola rotating rings from sixties era. It has been on this home made trailer since 1978. Recoated the primary and secondary that I have used, since its purchase in 1977. Since that time Cave Optical Co. went out of business. The 14.25 inch, F-5, one twenty fifth wave front primary made by Coulter Optical Co. went out of business, not long after they started making Dobsonian primary mirrors. It was a time when the Coulter 14.25", F-5 primary was their leading sale item. The most recent up grade was the JMI 3" EVXTNM focuser with motor.

Hi Balok, thank you for your kind words. I am in the final stages of restoration. recoating the mirrors. They were purchased from Coulter Optics in 1977. Upgrading to the Astro Physics mount, used to be a Cave Astrola mount from the 1960s. With a Cave Astrola rotating rings and a I just recently upgraded the focuser from a rack & pinion to a JMI 3" EVXTNM focuser with motor.
