Whilst visiting family in South Africa earlier this year, I decided to pop over to Namibia for some dark skies. They are dark!!!

I tried my Canon 200mm lens for some imaging. I really struggled to get the stars across the frame to be round. Not sure if it was my copy of the lens, or a tilting issue, but I ended up stopping the lens down to around f/5 which produced nice stars. I also ended up only shooting RGB frames, as L looked very mushy - the focus distance between R and B filters was quite substantial. The lack of L didn't help when trying to push the data to show the faint dust!

Canon 200mm f/2.8 @ f/5

RGB 12x10min each

Still getting to grips with processing, so any tips / critiques are more than welcome :)
