WO Star 71 first light - Crescent Nebula

Hi

here's the first light from my WO S71. Its a lovely little scope, the build quality and focuser is fantastic and being f5 is noticeably faster than the faithful ED80 I've been using for many years.

I'm really happy with the first results of 25x480 HA using an Atik One 6

Excellent first light Kiki. I had a go at Crescent with my Star71 a month or two ago and it makes a nice target for this scope

There are many folks on this forum who are getting rewarding results with this scope. It's definitely a winner.

Nice first light, appears to be a nice combination

with the camera.

Still waiting for my scope from FLO as well,

I think thats the problem right there with the weather

so many people have purchased or waiting for this scope

that it will be cloudy untill the back log has been sorted

Mind you i did pay the extra to get clear skies with mine, hope i was not conned

Thanks all, the WO S71 is certainly gaining a reputation and looking at images produced here its easy to see why. I fear this could see my ED80 being retired though.

I managed too add some OIII over the weekend and start my first bi-colour so still got plenty to learn!
