Maybe a silly question, do they work for photography if you wear glasses ?

Provided you can inspect the laptop or camera screen, yes.

A bathinov mask will create diffraction spikes around a star that will look something like this

you just need to adjust focus so the middle line is in the center as opposed to something like this

Why do you worry about wearing glasses ? these lines will show up on your laptop or liveview of your DSLR.

If you only do visual I don't see any use for a bathinov mask... Although it can be helpful on SCT to find if you are focusing or defocusing as SCT need a LOT of turns to achieve focus but still you do not need a mask for visual.

Good point, I wear glasses for reading but not for using a scope - just getting a bit short sighted. Just checking, had a bit of a senior moment I guess
