Just a single full moon frame ;)

Hello Dear Stargazers,

just a single moon shot from yesterday evening with 1/1000 and 200 ISO, slightly post-processed with GIMP 2.9. Equipment as noted in the footer

(Yes, i know, nothing special... but i'm a beginner, every half-decent frame is a victory for me!)

Very nice single shot. Focus is good, after stacking you should be able to sharpen  bit, and perhaps adjust curves to increase contrast. Good start

Full moon always shows least features due to small shadows. Good shot.

I must confess stacking the single shots proved unsuccessful. The mirrors' cooking was extreme. Looks like ill have to fit a fan for faster cooling! However i shot 2 movies at the end of the session, maybe they show better results...

Okay, seems like tapatalk is a bit off, i show up as 2 different users...

By stacking only the last 10 frames, using PIPP and Autostakkert 2, i was able to enhance results a bit...

It looks like the single shot was more successful than the stacking due to the shorter exposure, 1/1000. Next time i'll try an even shorter exposure. It looks like the higher noise is easier to remove than the picture wobbling of longer exposures... and i'll have to put the scope out 2 hours in advance for cooling.

I also ordered a PC cooler to speed the cooling up a bit.
