Is this scope of any use as an imaging scope or are most people using it to guide?

If its the achromatic one, you gets lots of chromatic aberration with it. You can image with it but you need to be prepared to accept a lot of chromatic aberration or spend hours processing it out and still end up with an imperfect image.

Can you not use them for monochrome imaging with narrow band filters?
