AVX Autoguider

Hi guys, not sure quite which board this one falls into... but as it's a question specifically about the AVX mount, I'll try here first and apologise if I've got it wrong!

I've recently bought a Celestron Advanced VX 8" SCT and haven't been able to find out if the autoguider port works only with the NexGuide Autoguider or if it's compatible with third party products (e.g. The Orion Starshoot Autoguider). Forgive my naivety... it appears to be a large minefield I have stepped into!

Should work with any guide cam that allows connection of an ST4 cable. I use a QHY5 with mine.
