my 1000th post !

Well, after 6 years I though id add a bit of nostalgia to my my 1000th post by posting in the welcome section.

Ive really enjoyed being part of the forum and I have to say its one of the best ran sites on the web.

So, on an evening of a total eclipse, thanks to everyone who is part of the sgl family !

Thanks guys, the sky is crystal clear for me with 200p dob cooling in the garden and im going to use some old celestron plossls I have from 1996.

Im also armed with two pot noodles so im ready for a night of observing .... and no work tomorrow !

All looking good here and there is a mag -8.0 iridium flare due at 05.24 but ill probably be asleep by then.

Well done astronymonkey glad you have the dob cooling. I've never used a pot noodle with the Dob before, are they a match for the plossls ?
