Where to go?

In a couple of weekends time, I will be staying here (see pin on map)

Does anyone know of any good spots nearby for some good nightscape shots and maybe a bit of AP?

I haven't been there, but about 15 miles west of you is Lyns-Y-Fran reservoir.  The secluded parking area on the west side of the dam looks interesting on Google Earth and its street view.

If you got the time head for Llandovery and then onto Lyn Brianne resevoir ( I would guess an hours drive) totaly dark and totally wild with a stunning landscape and plenty of parking spaces and pull ins. the res goes up three different valleys it is a vast area mind but the devils staircase is something else.
