steviemac500
So after my tracking nightmare I managed this tonight. 30 lights at 61 secs, 30 dark, ISO 800. Tiny piece of editing in GIMP because I don't really understand it!! I'm pleased with it.

jambouk
I am pretty poor at processing, but I had a go at stretching your jpeg data as I thought there might be scope for more data to be pulled out, and I think there is. However, vignetting stops it being stretched much more, here is a capture of the vignetting I've pulled out to over emphasise the problem. I suspect if you did some flat frames this would help reduce the vignetting and allow you (or someone else) to stretch future data a bit more. As I say, I don't thoroughly understanding imaging or processing, but that is my understanding anyway. I'll find a link to explain vignetting in a minute. Your VERY much stretched data below:James
jambouk
Found a few links which might offer you some help. However, I don;t want to detract from the fact this is a cracking image, and one I'd be most proud of having taken.https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Agho6QnsrzsC&pg=PA188&lpg=PA188&dq=astrophotography+vignetting+flats&source=bl&ots=GjWreVY7Iw&sig=I9Woy71aa0heGNyE6URtzyJkbsA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CEEQ6AEwBTgKahUKEwiLy6mazIfIAhWDbxQKHekoDZs#v=onepage&q=astrophotography%20vignetting%20flats&f=falsehttp://stargazerslounge.com/topic/79590-removal-of-vignetting/http://synergous.com/flatpress/?x=entry:entry111126-201738http://www.skyandtelescope.com/wp-content/uploads/documents/Flatfields+Mar11.pdfhttp://catalaaltarriba.com/?page_id=255James
steviemac500
Thanks guys, my Canon isn't modded. I haven't done any flat frames as yet but I guess that's a logical next step.
