M51 firt attempt

I'm very pleased with this. 25 lights ISO 800, 60 secs, same dark and flats. No post processing.

Although, that's the first time I've seen those rings around the image when I uploaded it to here!!!???

That's a good image.  Looking at the stars on the edge of the image, I think you'll be wanting to get a coma corrector.

Your focus looks good, the tracking is great.  And the image looks good too.

I'm not sure what the read colouring is around the galaxy.  I'm guessing some kind of light pollution issue.

It could be that the JPEG compression has exaggerated it.
