Well, Yves, thanks to using your camera and your OIII filter I was able to collect the 24x30 mins of OIII which make the Squid visible! I think my thanks go to you. And I felt pretty pleased with what I got out of the OIII but I think you've probably extracted more.

Not really outside help. Yves is on the inside here! I used his kit and a mount he set up and I followed his conviction that very long subs would work.

For a minute I thought the Squid had been done with a DSLR!   Then I read it carefully and realised it was 12 hours of OIII using a CCD.

A great looking result in any case.

But I think there would be a lot more detail in The Squid if Olly had used a sensitive Sony chipped camera (and an Astrodon 3nm filter).
