August 25, 2015: Brief evening look through hazy skies

Recommended Posts

Managed a look at the sun before it vanished behind the clouds and nearby houses yesterday. AR 2403 is still going strong, and through the haze I could make up some really big filaments on the eastern half of the disk. One striking one runs almost north-south. I could not spot any proms, but maybe it was just too hazy. Still glad that I got a brief look.
