AZEQ6 v EQ6 belt mod

Just seeking some user experience if you had an EQ6 with belt mod and then upgraded to an AZEQ6. Was the upgrade worth it?

I am heading to the UK from Australia shortly and am considering buying a belt mod kit for my EQ6 while I am there. The other option is for me to get an AZEQ6 back in Australia.

What were the experiences from users of both (I have read a bit about the AZEQ6 and seen them in action so aware of their capabilities).

Any manufacturers of belt mod kits members can recommend?

I asked the question of which is better a few months ago (EQ6 - AZ-EQ6) & the general consensus was that the AZ was the better mount and so I purchased one of those & not regretted the decision...

Thanks Julian, I am also leaning towards a new AZEQ6 at the moment.

by the time you do the belt mod and the wedge to remove the bendy bolt problem you could have bought the AZ. AND it is lighter and still able to carry the same weight.

Sadly the AZ was not out when i modded mine otherwise i would have just bought the AZ.

Depending who does the belt mod, any backlash could be reduced and an internal tune up on an NEQ6 could, I guess, give better periodic error and performance than an brand new out of the factory AZEQ6.
