Place in birmngham

Hi guys just found this forum and hoping somone may be able to help, i enjoy taking photos and am looking dor good places to take photos of the night sky, i in great barr birmingham, and woundered if there are any groups that go out and observe as well

Get up the barr beacon. Gates close early but can exit at any time, not sure how safe it is of a night though but there are meetings up there occasionally.

Some nights the gates are open. Not sure when but I have been up there on Frosty nights. There is a Village called Stonnall that I go up and setup on the village park get some good views.

There is a Wolves and Black Country Astro Club that meet at Barr Beacon fairly regularly.
