Thanks once again. I didn't know you had a specific interest in M27, could you tell me more?

Pete

Very happy to oblige. I started a thread http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/244610-m27-lets-see-your-pictures/for everybody to post their pictures of M27. This takes me back to my youth when I had my first 8" cat. It was a Dynamax 8 & M27 was one of the first deep sky objects I observed found with the rudimentary setting circles (those are now days forgotten). I will never forget the sight of the little bright cloud hanging among a multitude of stars- simply magical.

I can totally relate to that!! The first objects I observed and imaged left a lasting impression too. I'll never forget the feeing I had seeing Saturn for the first time (a first for many i'm sure) and imaging my first deep sky object, it was M63 and seeing a galaxy appear on screen had my knees trembling with excitement!!!
