Really awful Saturn from 25 July

It's my first attempt at the ringed planet.  Yes, it is really poor, it was bouncing around all over the place.  I think focus could definitely do with tweeking!

It's Saturn though.  I captured Saturn!

Thanks for all the kind words.  I'm pretty pleased as it was my first go!

6" F5 newt with a QHY5L-IIC, captured with Sharpcap and process with Registax 6.   Best 150 frames stacked from 3000.  Larger version has been run through Castrator first.

Looks like a very good attempt to me. Especially for a first attempt. I can make out the Cassini Division and some banding on the disc. Much better than my first attempt that's for sure! Well done. Saturn is really low from the UK at the moment so not ideal conditions anyway. I think you've done really well.

You should be very proud of your Saturn! One of the hardest things most people have is getting the image on the screen. I would suggest perhaps stacking a higher % of frames. It takes practice. Thanks for sharing. Clear skies......
