RA setting circle

The thumb screw on my RA setting circle doesn't lock the circle. I've hand tightened it as hard as I can yet the circle still moves when I adjust the RA slow motion cable. Anyone ever have this experience or advice on how to repair. 

It's not really a major issue but I would like to use the circles at some point to find objects.

This is an Orion 130st  telescope equatorial mount.

My old GG-3 was the same. I had to reset it imediatly before moving to another target. Even after a strip and re-grease its the same.

If its a similar mount, looking at images on google it is much the same as CG-3 or EQ 2, i fear you may have to put up with it.

This is why my first upgrade was a new higher spec mount.

Mine moves in both locked and unlocke positions
