Hello folks,

Here's M101, Imaged on the 7th and 8th April with my 14 inch @ F6.3.

Guiding was, as usual, with my trusty Tal 100R and PHD.

L, R,G & B were all 3 minute subs, R,G & B were binned 2x2.

With not a huge amount of data, I'm pleasantly surprised how this has come out!

Hope you like it smiley.gif

1st image is full size, second reduced for the web.

Cheers

Rob

Thanks folks :(

I was hoping to get out tonight and try to get some more luminance subs for it, as I only managed 45 minutes of luminance, which isn't really enough for a good S/N ratio. Consequently, I've had to smooth out some of the fainter areas more than I would have liked due to the noise.

Still pretty happy woth it though :)

I plan to go for this first and try for the outer halo of the Cat's eye in a few weeks, when it's higher in the sky at a civisised hour!

Of course, after a lovely clear day, its now gone cloudy ;)

Cheers

Rob
