Hello from Italy

Hi all,

I'm Mauro, I live in Latina (Italy), 50 km south of Rome. 

I've been interested in astronomy since my childhood and used to watch the sky for years with a small Newtonian. Several years ago, once retired, I started to do astrophotography. During these years I owned several types of mounts, telescopes and cameras but now I'm stopped with Avalon M-zero mount and Takahashi FSQ106 telescope with ATIK CCD.

Due to aging and poor spine status that limited a lot my activity I decided to pass to remote observatory. 

Together with a friend of mine, called Alessandro Milani,  I very recently get an Avalon Personal Remote Observation. It has been installed in one of the few dark site in Italy, in the Southern Tuscany.

I will introduce my observatory in another thread.
