Hi all, hope I'm doing this right, I'm new to astronomy and just starting out, I'm on my second telescope Meade Starnavigator 102 with those dreaded motor problems, but hey will upgrade as and when I can:) I'm in Merseyside UK, any advice such as powering my telescope without having to buy lots of AA batteries would be appreciated :)

Hi Pulsar and welcome to the forum. You might want to consider posting your question over on the beginners equipment section as more people visit there than here in the welcome section.

Hi Pulsar and welcome to SGL. As already mentioned, I think you may find the Equipment help and advise section more helpful, than here in the welcome section. I am sure you will have some helpful suggestions before long, enjoy your Astronomy and the forum :)
