7x35 vs 8x40

Hello,

 For astronomical observations, which is best, in your opinion, a 7x35 with 9º or the 8x40 with 8º, or they are very similar...with small differences?

Hi, if both bino's were of equal quality there would be little to chose between them, both have a 5 mm exit pupil.  I plumped for 8x40's with an 8.2 dg field.

Both are low powered, I would suggest the 8x40.

For, there's a notch more magnification and light gathering. Against, the loss of 1° of view.

My 8x40's give me a wide 8° view which is satisfactory for my needs. Last time I checked, 8° allows me to to encompass Orions belt and the Nebula in the same view.
