EQ5 Dec motor

Hi all,

iv just fitted my EQ5 with the dual axis motor and am wondering if the Declination motor fitting is supposed to be on show the way that it is?

My main concern is the little plastic import socket. It looks like it could snap off so easily.

Is there some kind of cover that I'm missing? Or is it a case of taking the motor off whenever not in use?

Obviously the 3rd option is just to be really careful with it, but it looks very nimble.

it was exactly the same on the eq5 mount I had, you are not missing a cover,

you just need to be careful with it, 

it never bothered me to be honest, not sure if you could make some kind of cover to fit?

I think most of Skywatcher's products can "snap off" easily.

hi mate, what i did with my is turn the socket upside down so its resting on the body of the motor its only two screws and it makes it mutch more sterder.
