Hi again, Ive run the images from last night through Astrostakk and when I open them in Registax to play with the wavelets, the image is an awful lot brighter. Is this just because the stacking is better?

Do you mean AutoStakkert? If so then it probably applied an auto stretch after stacking. You can do the same in Registax but it is a manual operation. If you have used the AstroStack then I am not familiar with it so can't comment.

Did you check the Normalise box? I also found that I preferred AS2! to Registax for stacking. I used to use Registax for wavelet sharpening, alas I don't do planetary any more.
