ISS Transit of the Sun 15th May 2015

Recommended Posts

Another Solar transit (they're more frequent than you might imagine) but due to the weather didn't want to leave my scope outside. The clouds cleared enough in time to set  up my 400mm lens with 2x extender and the Thousand Oaks filter. Getting it focused is the biggest challenge but so is the exposure. I had to process quite a bit in Lightroom and then PSE12 to align and stack.

Brilliant.  I have never seen the ISS transit, or any other satellite for that matter, just planes for me.  Well done James.
