initial focus for hyperstar

I've revamped an old interest in astronomy starting three months ago. I've taken the jump into ap and am looking for hints on one matter. I purchased a CCD (nightscape) and hyperstar to go with my CPC 800. I'm trying to find out where to start with initial focus--I've heard a couple of full clockwise turns, I've also heard focus on daytime terrestrials. I have a feathertouch focuser but no electric with autofocus yet

Any of you been down this path yet?
