Unknown satellite

While I was out last night near my place in worcester, having a look at the moon I saw 4 satellites go over head then at 21.50 bst, as I looked south I noticed a redish star about the same magnitude arcturus moving east to west aprox. 10 deg. above the horizon. Does anyone know what this could be?

i was attempting to line my red dot up and when i looked in the eye piece, at about 9:30 a satellite flew right by, nearly cacked myself.

plane posibly? or jellycopter?

i saw an arcturus type thing heading from due north to south west, see them a fair bit but don't know what they are always though chopper to be honest.

The 4 satellites overhead were perhaps:

Cosmos 2426 satellite

GPS BIIA-22 satellite

Unknown (possible military satellite)

Unknown (possible military satellite)

The satellite on the horizon was probably a SL-8 rocket booster

Hi Mark

The ISS was due to pass through that area tonight (Acturus (Bootes) through to Aquila. Would have been bright too. Not sure about the time though :scratch:
