Help! Should I do this?

i recently purchased a Celestron AVX mount with the intention of getting a scope in a few months. This past weekend I was able to oick up a Celestron C-8 cpc fork mount CST for a very good price but don't want to shell out for a wedge as I am wanting to do AP. I am trying to decide do I turn around and sell it for a profit and buy a new scope or do I defork it and add a dovetail to use it with my AVX?

How much could you sell it for? What scope would you buy?

I have been told I could get 3 times what I paid but after talking to a couple guys in my local club I think I will sell the AVX and keep the cpc and get the wedge and reducer
