First shots through 200P

These are my 1st goes through my new 200P on the EQ5. SPC 900 and I had a go with PIPP. Processed through Registrar though I'm not convinced I know what I'm doing! Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

A Mod could sort this, but in future after you have uploaded, place your cursor in an appropriate place ie it flashes, and hit 'attach to post'. Then we can see the picture, W/O downloading.

Great first pic of Jupiter!

I got my 200P and EQ5 in March and I'm using a ZWO ASI034MC imaging camera. I got much better results by stacking additional Barlows together, although it wasn't bad with the stock Barlow. My post http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/242458-first-novice-attempts-at-jupiter-any-advice/ shows my first images. There are details on the 2 additional (cheap) Barlows I bought in the post too.

Meryck, thanks for that. I didn't realise you could stack Barlows. Think I may have to try a 3 X.

Rich, I'll try that next time. Anything I should be setting differently on Sharpcap or Registax?

I find that using AutoStakkert!2  for initial stacking, followed by wavelet tweaking in Registax, gives better results that using Registax on its own. I personally find AS!2 much easier to use/configure.

Try saving the pics as PNG's , that way we won't have to download them just to see them ...
