I want to get back into this hobby, as I really used to enjoy it and my Grandson, Benjamin, at 5yo is becoming interested too. I have several pieces of kit but should make better use of them. The main drawback is that as "Floater" suggested earlier in this thread, the LP is horrendous and doesn't encourage you to just grab and go, as I could do in Buckie.
