Clint anything

WWII most things

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Steve McQueen anything

Galaxy Quest

Lost in Translation

Aviator

Thin Red Line (i know i said anything WWII but this is Rubbish)

I've seen about half of 2001 zzzzzzzzz

And they had 2010 on TCM the other night but i just couldn't be bothered to watch it.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought they are pretty poor. As you say Gaz, i thought it was a 'given' if you liked sci-fi, you liked 2001.

The books were better than the films (talking about 2001, 2010 & 3001). But the trouble is backwhen they made these films they didn't really have the skilss - or maybe the budget to make them really good.

If they remade these now with a big budget I think that they could be really good.

The thing with 2001, 2010 is not below par visuals or lack of budget but just that they are a total snoozefest. If the film ran any slower it would be going backwards. Certainly up there in my all-time most boring films. I suppose i should make the effort to see more than an hours worth, it could be i'm missing out on the action in the latter half of the film.

Films i've seen reccently that i would like to include in my 'like list':

Dodgeball

Wedding Crashers

Can't be doing with romantic comedies.

Blade films are pretty good but not as good as the Terminator 1 & 2.

Lord of the Rings trilogy gets a mention from me too.
