M81 & 82

I took the Lum and HA image from home and the RGB from Keilder. Ive had a nightmare aligning the images taken over 3 nights and also the a few processing issues. The colour im not 100% happy with and unsure about the background, I know there is the flux nebula in this area but im unsure if its whats causing the uneven background.

Anyway this is appox 6 hours worth,

A real cracker of an image and an example of what can be achieved at a dark sky site. Will we ever see skies like it again? Roll on the Autumn Kielder star camp.

those two are gorgeous aint they, not seen em yet as they are practically at zenith at min and i struggle aiming scope up there.
