Blazar

last nights trip to the dark side...

Well it seems that the weather forecast was spot on... a quick shot of Jove (though got another couple to go through but this was quite nice for the first one out of the bag! and a quite shot of Venus (as Knobby inspired me to have a go).

Thanks gents. Knobby Venus was very odd to process...had to set up a new wavelet set-up, but it still needs some looking at. did three runs on it, but this was the only one using a barlow.

Thank you all for the kind words. Still learning (and drooling over more aperture)....think this is the limits of the 800. Got another one just finished looking at, with a slightly higher gain setting than normal...not sure if its as nice as the first one.

How about 16 inch RC..... ;-) mind you the 14 would be nice, but need a new mount....maybe get Daniel to lend me his equipment as he does not use it ;-)  (joke Dan!)

Think the 9.25 is a bit of an exception....the 11 or 14 is the best bet. I would still want to go for an Edge though....
