Thin crescent

Yesterday evening after observing Venus, I dropped down for a quick look at the thin crescent moon near the horizon.  I was not expecting to be able to use any real magnification, but I was pleasantly surprised and was able to see some good detail at 91x through my 90mm f10 refractor. The view I had of Mare Humboldtianum was particularly pleasing.

Hi all,

yesterday evening I had a quick look at the moon (around 6%) and I agree that Mare Humboldtianum provided nice views and one could nicely see its rim at 60x.

(Note that I observed just with the tiny Skywatcher 76/300 Heritage.)
