my eyepieces

I have 3 celestron ultima lx eyepieces. Will they be ok for a 10inch dobsonian?

Hi there,

In general they are very good eyepieces. However can only say in general as you need to tell us a little more about the scope and what focal length the eyepieces are.

I have a couple myself I do find the 22 drops away at the outer edge the 17 is great,The 22 frames the moon perfectly and also barlows very well.I think these are the same as the sw swa70* which are rebadged and slightly restyled lx,s.I also have two of these and they work fine at f5 but any faster you might find they drop towards the edge.Can you try them in the scope to check?

Thanks for replies. I have 8mm 13mm and 17mm They are all 70° FOV. Also have Tele vue 2x Barlow.

so as considering an f5 scope, will I need to change EPs?

I moved to Sweden last year and don't know of any local clubs where I can try it out.

From what I see, your eyepieces will give x70, x92, x150 and with the Barlow, x141, x184 and x300. Good enough really without major changes.

I'd advise trying what you have first before making any changes.
