Heading out of the Solar System...

Hi all,

I feel like I've been trapped in the Solar System over the past few months (years!) with lots of solar, lunar and planetary imaging. Time to break free again

Here's a shot I took back in February of the Rosette Nebula. A Canon 40DH attached to a Takahashi E-130 Astrograph. 46x 60s exposures @ ISO 1600.

A nice result indeed Pete, and glad to see that you've made the 'jump' out of the Solar System and into 'deep space'

Near or far Pete, your images are always top drawer. Does this mean we are going to get a feast of Deep Sky Goodies.

I have to say, you have some great competition when it comes to those. I am sure you know that though.

That's what makes it fun Ron. I'm a bit rusty on deepsky but I'm looking forward to getting re-acquainted with some old favourites (and some new ones). After a few technical hitches the autoguider is back in business so that's a positive step.
