Yet another Galaxy, M100 this time

Recommended Posts

After the cloudy skies of Kelling Heath at the weekend, it was nice to see a clear sky at home last night :(

Had two hours on M100, and the resulting image is from a mix of hazy 'seeing' that developed into a nice clear sky about half way through the 2 hour session.

I think the galaxy to the left of M100 is NGC5457.

12" LX200R at f/7, and 12x600sec subs with the SXVF-H9C. Processed in AA4.

Hello Dave,

Glad you had clear skies last night...we did too and I've only just got up :(

Lovely image there, plenty to see for the big scope eh!

Great to have met you at Kelling :D

Cheers

Excellent shot Dave - there's a lot of detail visible - well done!! :( (I saw M100 for the first time last night so it's great to see an image of it taken at the same time).
