+! for nylon screws. I have seen some cheap diagonals with thin aluminium or even plastic barrels. Stick a steel screw in that and you can easily strip the threads due to the soft barrel material. Nylon screws can prevent that from happening effectively. The thread of the screw strips more easily than the thread in the barrel in that case. Replacing the screw is a lot easier than re-tapping a barrel.
