QHY8L problems/ blooming

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone
I've had my QHY8L for about a year with no problems up until a couple of nights ago when I started getting smears coming from any bright object (stars or planets). I have read that this could be blooming ? Can this be fixed and if so how , or does it need to be sent away . I've spoken to QHY and
they wanted me to send it back to them " Beijing china " :nailbiting: I'm a bit reluctant to send my camera half way round the world , I've spoken to Bernard from modern astronomy who has confirmed that it looks like blooming but can't really help :crying: he's suggested adjusting the anti bloom pot on the circuit board , but give me any other details. Can anyone help ? I've included a couple of pics to show you , one is of Jupiter 1 second exposure next one is Jupiter 30 second exposure and the last is M82 at 360 second exposure. I'm using nebulosity3 with gain @ 12 and offset @109 , ezcap shows the same thing.
