Hello, I'm new here

Hi guys, would just like to say hi, my name is Darren and I have been interested in astronomy for a while now and I received my first telescope for my birthday last year - a Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ MD which I have barely had a chance to use...I work nights!

I'm hoping to change all that once I figure out how to use the telescope to the best of it's abilities - I'm still a little nervous at using it.

My knowledge of the sky is pretty good, I can identify the main stars and planets etc, locations of interesting things to look for and I eventually want to get into astrophotography. 

I have a 6 year old girl who is really getting into the whole astro stuff herself which is excellent - she was disappointed not to see the eclispe last week as we were covered in cloud.
